Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about financial literacy, college and career readiness, and entrepreneurship through experiential, hands-on programs.
All JA programs are developed by professional educators and meet state education requirements in math, social studies, and language arts. What happens in one corner of the globe can have a significant impact right here in Idaho and we need to be prepared with a well-educated, well prepared workforce. When local companies set out to hire new employees, candidates come from everywhere, not just Idaho. Increasingly, employers value intangible assets such as imagination, problem solving and critical thinking, along with technical skills.
By 2018, 61% of jobs in Idaho (503,000) will require postsecondary education (national average is 63%). Currently, only 34% of Idaho's population has a credential or degree. (jkaf.org)
