JA Financial Kingpins Biz Bowl

Date: March 3, 2017 @ AMF Star Lanes, 740 Pleasantburg Rd., Greenville

3rd annual Kingpins Tournament when banks, accounting firms and other financial institutions compete for the coveted traveling trophy and serious bragging rights. One of JA's largest and FUNNEST fundraisers of the year. To find out how you can participate, click HERE.

 

The JA Titan Challenge and 21st Century Soft Skills Workshops

Date: April 21, 2017

High school students in teams of 2-4 apply learned business concepts in a competitive online simulation to put their "company" on top.  Eight teams go on to the championship round for a chance to win scholarship money and an opportunity to move on to the national competition.

Lunch includes a dynamic keynote speaker and networking opportunities. In the afternoon students participate in interactive, practical workshops in communications, collaboration & creativity, critical thinking & problem-solving, personal branding, and interviewing. The workshops are designed to build 21st century skills needed to find, get and keep a good job that leads to financial stability.

 

18th Annual JA Golf Tournament

Date: June 9, 2017 @ The Preserve at Verdae

This annual event has become a tradition in Greenville, SC. With over 30 companies involved, our goal is to fund 500 JA classes for K-12th graders by raising over $50,000. Sponsorship opportunities available! Click HERE for more information. 

 

JA Champions Celebration

Date: August 2017

An evening of celebration of our "JA Champions" -- those who have been so generous with their time, talent and treasure.

 

JA Entrepreneurship Month

Date: November 2017 

Designed to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week, this initiative places entrepreneurs into high school classrooms throughout our community to share what inspired them to start their own businesses and to open students' eyes to the opportunities provided by entrepreneurship.

 

 JA Ethics Program  

Date: December 7th, 2017 @ USC Upstate 

Area high school students compete for prizes by submitting essays answering one of three questions based on the years ethical topic. Once the winners have been selected, all participants are asked to a luncheon held at USC Upstate in Spartanburg. The 2017 topic has not be determined.
