About Our Office

Who We Are

Junior Achievement is the nation's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.

Junior Achievement's programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, and provide relevant, hands on experiences that give students kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.  JA volunteers ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina represents an 18 county area (Caswell, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Lenoir, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Pitt, Sampson, Wake, Wayne and Wilson). JA of Eastern NC volunteers reached nearly 11,000 students with Junior Achievement programs last academic year.

What We Do

JA of Eastern NC facilitates partnerships between schools, corporate sponsors and volunteers to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by teaching financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship to students grades k-12. All programs align with North Carolina's Common Core Standards teaching students about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness while equipping them with the tools to be personally and professionally successful.
