Junior Achievement is looking for VISTA members in Arkansas to increase access to VISTA programming. Our goal is to ensure K12 students receive work force skills, financial literacy training and entrepreneurship education. This position is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Members will establish a program outreach plan around 12 schools to ensure growth and retention and build a partnership with community organizations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, superior project management skills are a must! The ability to both be comfortable with diverse groups and also to make them feel comfortable is ideal. This is a year of service project that will offer you an opportunity to create a vast network of people who can all work together to make your community better for the future. Volunteer Recruitment and Management AmeriCorps Vista
Member Duties :Establish an volunteer outreach plan for 12 schools - ensure volunteer growth and retention-build partnerships with community organizations- responsible for marketing and successful recruitment of the program -prepare and present presentations via civic clubs-develop a volunteer recognition around our largest fundraiser-create a yearly volunteer and cultivation program -train volunteers - match volunteers to schools
Development and Special Events AmeriCorps Vista
Member Duties : Special Events - Prospecting Research-Resource generation-Implement a campaign- grant submissions- create a marketing plan around Giving Tuesday - Develop event themes for special events - Donor Management - Create a system of development appeals correspondence around special events and secure a class funding- create a special appeal plan
Program and Student Outreach AmeriCorps Vista
Member Duties : Implement digital programs at 12 schools - teacher recruitment and training-prepare and implement presentations at community meeting - monitor curriculum progress - steward educator relationships - ensure program quality - oversee planning logistics of school events- hit program targets of 1400 students - program evaluations - marketing programs - identify new STEM connections - database collection
Member Duties : Develop and execute an effective marketing/communication plan including social media (JA classrooms/special events/donor appreciation), press releases, and special event notifications. Member will help increase brand awareness and develop a brand toolkit for board, volunteers and community partners, create a monthly social media content calendar and timeline for e-blasts, create a monthly e-newsletter to send out to JA contributors including volunteers, teachers, school districts, donors, board, parents and JA area offices.
