Since 1986, Central Kentucky businesses have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars by participating in JA's Annual Bowl-a-thon event. Bowling skills are not required, just a desire to have fun with your fellow employees and raise money for JA.
JA's 2016 Bowl-A-Thon events raised over $35,000 in new revenue to empower our students to own their future economic success. The JA Bowl-A-Thon offers employees a time to have fun with their co-workers, family and friends while raising money to underwrite JA's educational programs.
Because of their efforts, over 1,600 additional students were inspired by our business volunteers. In addition, JA introduced Wii bowling offering companies the opportunity to bowl at their business.

Over the last couple years, dozens of KEMI employees have participated in the Bowl-a-Thon coordinated by Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass. This annual fundraising event provides KEMI employees with an exciting way to celebrate their ongoing commitment, service, and support for JA's economic and workforce development programs for students throughout central Kentucky. Whether decorating their team bowling pins weeks in advance or dressing up on the day of the event, this event has helped build camaraderie and has brought together employees who share the company's focus of giving generously to the communities where we live and work."e; -Todd Sallee, KEMI
