Ryan Osborn
Junior Achievement of Central Iowa

In October of 2016, Ryan Osborn was named President of Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Iowa. Serving K-12 students annually, JA of Central Iowa programs foster entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work-readiness – empowering  young people to create a bright and fulfilling future.

Ryan has dedicated his career to helping young people believe in themselves through his work in the non-profit education sector. Prior to JA of Central Iowa, Ryan was the Director of Advancement at Dowling Catholic High School, where he led campaigns for facility upgrades, student programs and financial aid for families in need.

Prior to returning to his hometown of Des Moines, Ryan worked in Chicago at one of the top Jesuit high schools in the country, St. Ignatius College Prep, as their Director of External Relations. It is also in Chicago where he was a teacher as part of AmeriCorps, a "domestic peace corps" program designed to help youth in our nation's poorest communities.

In 2016, Ryan was distinguished as a Forty Under 40 by the Business Record. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and Master of Education from Loyola University of Chicago. Ryan currently serves on the Financial Literacy Network of the Iowa Department of Education, and the following JA USA task committees: Brand Advisory, Free Enterprise Society and Governance Review.
