JA of Central Maryland EVENTS
At JA of Central Maryland, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!
JA Women's Alliance
JA Leading Ladies
JA Leading Ladies connects businesswomen and outstanding female high school students in the Baltimore area to celebrate successes, develop talents, capture new opportunities, and inspire the next generation of women leaders.
Fogo De Chão Dinner
For the fifth year in a row this April, Financial Literacy Month, guests are invited to enjoy this special dinner and great meal with their friends while supporting JA kids. Thanks to the generosity of Fogo de Chão, 35% of the proceeds go directly to Junior Achievement of Central Maryland.
No one parties with a purpose like JA Bowl-A-Thon participants! Join us for this signature fundraising event—and benefit JA students throughout Central Maryland. Complete with contests, prizes and more, our Bowl-A-Thons offer a great atmosphere for team-building and networking for more than 60 area companies each year.
JA Her Path to Promise
JA Her Path to Promise is an intensive summer program at Towson University that creates pathways for young women by providing exposure to female mentors, college campuses, workplaces, hands-on activities, and other experiences to begin the process of preparing for a successful life after graduation from high school.
This experiential career readiness opportunity gives middle school students access to area employers, post-secondary education opportunities, and hands-on career activities. By attending JA Inspire, students will have the ability to build their coursework pathway for high school and beyond.
JA Office Warriors
Show off your workplace skills and win the gold for Central Maryland youth! Through a series of wacky and competitive games, you'll build camaraderie among your team and help prepre the next generation for success in their future careers.
JA Company Program Regional Competition
JA entrepreneurs from the Greater Baltimore area go head-to-head against their peers as part of this dynamic competition for JA Company of the Year. Student-run companies from the 2018-2019 school year will showcase their businesses to a panel of judges and deliver their financials, marketing pitch, and more to a panel of professionals in the field.
