JA Leading Ladies

Lead Where You Are

JA Leading Ladies connects businesswomen and outstanding female high school students in the Baltimore area to celebrate successes, develop talents, capture new opportunities and inspire the next generation of women leaders. The event celebrates the power of women at various ages and stages of life, and inspires participants with increased knowledge and confidence to further their career goals and network building. Through presentations, table discussions and interactive student/mentor activities, the event stays true to the hands-on JA philosophy of providing real-world experiences that help youth create an aspiration and plan for their futures.

Overall Impact:

  • Mentorship opportunity to connect youth to role models to which they would not normally have access
  • Exposure to women's market in an empowering dynamic setting
  • Introduction to high-growth careers and corporate environments
  • Development of career aspirations and goals
  • Team building
  • Networking
  • Skill development for participants and increased speaking skills, confidence and self-esteem for young women
