JA of Greater South Carolina #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities.
JA of Greater South Carolina is proud to partner with Giving Tuesday and remind people that after the two busiest shopping days of the year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we all should participate in an act of generosity.
JA of Greater South Carolina is an official member of the #GivingTuesday network.

The impact your gift can have:
Recently, Ty'Quan, a first-grade student at a Title One school in Richland School District One had a Junior Achievement (JA) volunteer come to his class. Ty'Quan's teacher told us that he had a difficult home life and that over the past few months, Ty'Quan had not shown an enthusiasm for school. During Ty'Quan's JA class the teacher and volunteer noticed how eager Ty'Quan was to participate in Junior Achievement lessons. By the end of Ty'Quan's JA class, he could identify the difference between credit and debit and name three careers he wanted to have as an adult. All three careers were in finance and banking, just like his JA volunteer! Since the end of Ty'Quan's JA class, his teacher has reported that he is interested in participating in school again and regularly participates in classroom activities.
We are supporting this global call to action by requesting that you:
"Junior Achievement has given me a sense of what adults go through with budget issues."
"Junior Achievement reinforced concepts for me to remember later in life."
"I thought the experience was amazing. The presentation was unlike anything I've seen."
"I liked how the Junior Achievement volunteer explained his job to us."
