Why Junior Achievement?
JA helps students realize the education they are getting today will help them have a bright future. JA's unique, volunteer-delivered programs, show them all of the possibilities that lie before them. They realize they can choose different paths: College? A specific trade? Their own business? Through your participation as an organization or as an individual, these statistics below can begin to change:
- 20% of U.S. students will not complete high school on time and earn a diploma.
- 49% of U.S. employers recognize that talent shortages impact their ability to serve clients and customers.
- 36% of Americans say that they have at some point in their lives felt their financial situation was out of control.
- 91% of millennials wish they had greater access to entrepreneurial education programs.

Bowl for JA
BOWL FOR JA is a one-of-a-kind, annual team-building event for your company, giving employees the opportunity to work together, strategize, bowl and raise money for Junior Achievement.
Come participate in Richmond's elite corporate bowling event on March 16 & 18 or June 6 & 8, 2019! Last year, over 45 companies and over 600 bowlers participated.
JA Greater Richmond Business Hall of Fame
The JA Greater Richmond Business Hall of Fame honors the professional accomplishments of visionary business leaders. The honorees have experienced business success and established a legacy of leadership within their industries and the community. Through their actions and accomplishments they seve as role models for young people.

JA Career Center
Junior Achievement of Central Virginia's JA Career Center is open! Sponsored by Virginia529, it is the only career center in the region that offers hands-on activities and technology-based research tools for middle and high school students. Students will learn about industry growth, explore career opportunities, research college payment options and determine what they need to earn in order to afford needs and wants.
