JA Titan® in the Classroom…JA’s Titan® program is an innovative, relevant, and experiential program in which students put their business and economics lessons to the real-world test by utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation model.
Students become CEOs of a virtual, high-tech manufacturing company set in the Year 2020 and make real-time business decisions while analyzing a variety of internal, financial and competitive data.
More than 400 students are expected to participate in this impactful, seven-week program throughout our region this academic year.
The JA Titan® Competition…More than 400 area students will compete virtually in April for a chance to be one of 25 team finalists at the
JA Titan of Business Challenge at St. John Fisher College on May 23, 2018.
Prior to the competition, students and sponsors will gather for a Young Entrepreneur Breakfast, which features an address by a local young business person.
After the competition, students, sponsors and community business leaders will join together for a Luncheon, Awards Ceremony, and a Keynote Address. Previous keynote addresses have been delivered by: Mark Davitt (2016), Thomas Bonadio (2015), James Hammer (2014), Richard Kaplan (2013), CJ Rapp (2012), Christine Whitman (2011) and Dennis Kessler (2010).
The Top 3 Teams at the JA Titan of Business Challenge win…
· Cash prizes ranging from $250 - $1,000 per student.
· $1,000 scholarship opportunities from participating colleges, such as Bryant & Stratton College, Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Roberts Wesleyan College and St. John Fisher College.
