Each spring, the high school students in the program meet at the JA Company Program® Regional Competition to showcase their work in creating new products and companies and demonstrate their skills in a variety of activities.
Including an entrepreneurship expo, interviews, presentations, and more, the students not only highlight their accomplishments but their professional growth through a daylong competition. This event is held at the Microsoft Technology Center in Malvern, PA. This gives the students the opportunity to explore and interact with this unique space.

As in every year, in April 2017, judges from businesses throughout the region evaluated the teams' performances and determined the following winners in the following categories:

Group Categories:

Best Overall Company – 1st place: Knada/IKEA, 2nd place: POSITIVITY/SAP 
Best Annual Report – Sustain/Aqua
Best Stage Presentation – POSITIVITY/SAP
Best Advertising – BamBlue/Pfizer
Best Sales Pitch – BamBlue/Pfizer
Best Company Interview – knada/IKEA

Individual Categories:

President of the Year – 1st place: Destiny Patton- EY/Trippy Taps, 2nd place: Sravya Alla- Aqua/Sustain
Vice President of the Year – 1st place: Justin Leggin-Evolve IP/Lava for Life, 2nd place: TIE: Hope Kim-IKEA/Knada, Jordan Brodie- Accenture/VaryUs
Employee of the Year – 1st place: Emani Carter, Comcast/Hygenus, 2nd place: Lexi Lukazewski- Aqua/Sustain
Salesperson of the Year – 1st place: LJ Troilo- Aqua/Sustain, 2nd place: Suvas Kota- Evolve IP/Lava for Life
For the second year, we awarded the JA Entrepreneurial Talent Award. This was presented by JA Alumni to Ruchi Mulajker of  Lava for Life, sponsored by Evolve IP.
Scholarships are typically awarded to each individual winner, with first place in each category receiving $1,000 and second placing receiving $500. The competition also includes an essay contest concerning innovation and technology in business, with the winner receiving a $500 scholarship. This past year's winner, Kanika Sharma, was a member of Lava for Life, sponsored by Evolve IP.
This past year, the competition also included a JA Company Program® You Choose Award. In line with the "Best Advertising Award," each student company created a commercial to market their product. The videos, posted on our website, were voted on by the public. The student company with the most votes - 2,544 - was Armadillo, sponsored by SAP America.
