Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa-CEDAR RAPIDS EVENTS

At Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa in Cedar Rapids, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

Junior Achievement Corridor Business Hall of Fame

When: September, 2019

The Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame is a black tie event that provides Junior Achievement the opportunity to recognize our state's most respected leaders for their commitment to and investment in the community.

JA Stock Market Challenge

JA Stock Market Challenge

When: February 2020

Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa's (JAEI) Annual JA Stock Market Challenge event allows participants to experience the fast pace, cut throat day in the life of a stock market trader. The Stock Market Challenge is a technology based simulation of the stock market in which every 60 seconds represents a day of trading. Beginning with a hypothetical account balance of $500,000, the stakes are high and the competition is fierce.  There will be a straight forward student competition during the day and a no holds barred adult version in the evening.

Cedar Rapids Taste of Achievement

Cedar Rapids Taste of Achievement

When: April 20, 2020

Taste a variety of food and beverages while you bid on fantastic silent and live auction packages. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go towards providing quality financial literacy education to children in our community.

Leave your dress pants at home and wear your favorite jeans to work! Employees of participating companies are encouraged to participate by wearing jeans to work, with a donation to Junior Achievement.
