2012 Scholarship Winners


Congratulations 2012 Scholarship Winners!

These students were selected,out of 28 applicants. Junior Achievement is proud to support our Scholarshiners of the Junior Achievement Srscholarship Winnp winners they own their own economic success. The 2012 Winners are Robert Cameron: Hoover High School and Connor Jarvis: Hoover High School.

Robert Cameron: Hoover High School

He created the mantra "Helping ourselves by helping others" during the JA East Central Ohio Busines Challenge competition, which he finds to be appropriate to his own life as well. Robert's company, Viking Enterprises Division 8, sold framed and artistically matted portraits of his High School's new football field. Ten percent of profits were donated to pay off the debt of the new field. His team exceded their goal of $3,000. Robert will be attending John Carroll University.

Connor Jarvis: Hoover High School

Connor believes that "...through hard work, collaboration, and a desire to accomplish goals, success will be achieved". His exposure to JA inspired him to start a candy business out of his locker in the eight grade. During JA Company he was president of his class's company, Viking Enterprise. Thanks to JA, Connor has met with a patent attorney and has sold his product both directly to consumers and to local reatailers. He will be attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
