Junior Achievement's volunteer-delivered, interactive kindergarten-12thgrade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to develop career and college readiness skills to reach their potential.
JA curriculum is:
- aligned with common core state standards
- meets financial literacy requirements of Amended Ohio Senate Bill 311
- encourages creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communications skills
- teaches key economic, business and money management concepts that empower students to own their economic success in a 21st global marketplace.
Junior Achievements programs are taught by trained business volunteers. These volunteers traditionally enter the classroom once a week for 5 to 7 weeks depending on the program. Some JA programs are also available in a JA in a Day delievery method, where the volunteer administers the entire JA Program in one day.
The demand for Junior Achievement has never been greater. Classes are provided at no charge to school districts in Stark, Tuscarawas and Carroll counties served by Junior Achievement of East Central Ohio.
