Bank | Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans

bank sponsored by CAPITAL ONE BANK

Students are encouraged to make wise financial choices at the bank, where they deposit their pay checks and business profits as well as negotiate business loans and learn about personal investing.  The bank issues "checks" that the students may use to make purchases at other businesses – as long as they do not overdraw their accounts and their basic needs are met.  A student may have to choose between spending for a snack or an arcade game.  JA volunteers assist students in carrying out their tasks, using responsible financial management skills.
