David Rubenstein
David Rubenstein is President of Rubensteins, a men's store that has been in his family since 1924. Rubenstein is a native New Orleanian who graduated from Isidore Newman in 1958 and went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina with a BS in Business Administration in 1962.
Rubensteins was the first retailer to introduce the fine clothing line, Ermenegildo Zegna, to America. David represented Rubensteins when the company was one of the retailers to receive the initial prestigious UOMO MODA award from the Italian menswear industry represented by Lauren Bacall at the World Trade Center dinner.
David has served on the boards of Menswear Retailers of America, the Jewish Community Center, Isidore Newman School, the New Orleans Building Corporation and the Better Business Bureau. He has been the past Chairman of the Board at Touro Infirmary, past President of the Board at the NOCCA Institute, past Chairman of the Board of the NOCCA State Board and past President of the Board of the Canal Street Development Corporation.
David is married to Nita Bradley Rubenstein and they have three children, Kim Gaither-Denherder, Hilary Varisco and Allison Marshall.
