Students need more than Junior Achievement's programs. They need the involvement and support of the professional community to mentor, to inspire and to achieve. It is no longer "I Am JA" but "We Are JA."
Read the news for an hour and you will find a consistent theme: economic and workplace change is happening at a scale never experienced before. At the same time, our children are ill- prepared to enter college and the workforce.
But JA is turning the tide and helping young people face the challenges of the real world. JA is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement's kindergarten through grade 12 programs—in the core content areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.
Who are WE?
Junior Achievement works thanks to a collaborative effort between JA volunteers, donors, educators, and staff. Each plays an integral part in fostering student success and helping young people thrive in our rapidly changing world.
WE are the volunteers bring real-world experience and relationships to the table. When we say JA serves more than 32,000 students around Greater New Orleans (Southeast LA), it's because our volunteers can help us reach that far.
Volunteer for a class
WE are the donors make our programs possible. Without their contributions, JA could not meet the growing demand for our high-impact programs.
WE are the educators have a clear vision for the future success of their students, and they rely on JA to help them achieve that vision. By bringing JA to the table, our educators are the linchpins in serving students and school systems.
Bring our programs to your classroom
WE are the staff have the joy and honor of watching our young people become prepared for college and careers. Our staff helps our volunteers, donors, and educators do their work as we all look forward to a brighter future.
