Junior Achievement has a positive impact in lives and with our economy improving societal issues. We have a significant role today, with helping educators teach remotely. We are building and reaching even more students in low-income areas today in many school districts, which has long-term impact.
During the pandemic stay-home period, our team excelled with remote learning; helping educators with Google Classroom, and through MS Teams. We didn't slow down on our outreach, and this past school year, we reached over 154,000 students with over 1/3 engaged with remote learning. We feel great having a significant role today, and it's expanding in the upcoming school year.

Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis
Helps Prepare Today's Students for a Bright Future

Tagline
JA of Greater St. Louis's volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs help students understand how to manage money, explore what it means to start a business and be better prepared for the future of work.
Why Junior Achievement?
In 2019, Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis (JA STL) conducted a survey of its alumni in the St. Louis Metro area. Results indicate that across all metrics, JA STL alumni have performed better than the general population average.
- JA STL Alumni are nearly 113% more likely to have a four-year degree than the national population and 94% more likely compared to the STL Metro population.
- 41% of JA STL Alumni credit JA with influencing their career choice, while approximately 1 in 3 say they work in the same career field as their JA volunteer.
- 84% of JA STL Alumni say that the greatest impact Junior Achievement had on their lives was helping them understand how business works.
- Respondents who grew up in low income households show a relatively much higher income level increase (170%) than respondents who grew up in mid and upper income households (4.5%).
