JA STEM Workshop | Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis

JA STEM and Work Readiness Workshop

JA STEM 360° presented by Bayer is a new addition to Junior Achievement that was created and designed in St. Louis. The objective is for students to understand that STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and math) are necessary for most jobs. Middle and high school students engage in an interactive simulation that shows how STEM careers play an important role in getting pizza from "Farm to Front Door." Students learn there are over 15,000 jobs involved and they get to explore parts of the supply chain which includes farming, logistics, marketing/sales, restaurant, kitchen, and delivery. Modern technology, friendly competition and education on STEM careers collide in this unique, high-tech experience.

JA Soft Skills will introduce students to the basics of manners, etiquette, and proper workplace behavior. They will focus on identifying their talents, speaking about themselves, being able to translate their own experiences into relevant answers to interview questions, and practice mock interviews.

JA Work Ethics allows students the importance of living their lives with honesty and integrity. Volunteers will help students explore personal values, character development, and ethics while offering the opportunity to discuss related issues.
