Volunteer with Junior Achievement
The success of Junior Achievement programs depends on the efforts of business and community volunteers. Since its founding in 1919, JA volunteers have contributed to the business and economics education of young people throughout the world. Volunteers present hands-on activities that teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.

With traditional volunteering, volunteers partner with an area classroom to implement JA curriculum. Volunteers attend an orientation session to be come familiar with JA materials. The volunteer then visits the classroom once per week for 5-7 weeks. Each weekly session is about 30 to 60 minutes.

The perfect solution for organizations that are interested in a team-building, community service event is a JA-in-a-Day (JAID). Organizations are partnered with a school where an entire JA curriculum is presented in one day. Orientation and matierials are provided by JA. This is a perfect way for your to get involved with Junior Achievement.
JA Job Shadow
The JA Job Shadow program provides students with the opportunity to experience a normal day on the job through a mentor. This experience demystifies the workplace and allows students to find a link between their classroom learning and future careers.
JA BizTown and JA Finance Park
JA BizTown and JA Finance Park, our Capstone programs, offer two experiential learning programs. Volunteers provide instruction and active participation during an all-day visit to the simulated economies. Training is provided online or by JA staff.
With hundreds of participating schools throughout Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Indiana, you're sure to find a location that's convenient for you.
After selecting your JA program, a JA staff member will contact you to coordinate an in-person training session. This training will cover everything you need to know for a successful volunteer experience. Unless otherwise indicated, you will schedule the times and dates of your weekly volunteer sessions directly with the teacher.
