Ann Dang

Ann is our Program Director for Junior Achievement of Hawaii. She works and coordinates with educators and volunteers from our Hawaii schools, to provide JA Programs from grades K-12. 

 

Ann has a background in Science and has recently worked as an Environmental Chemist for a few years. She also has worked at the YMCA and at Central Union Church for Preschool and Kindergarten, working along with students and assisting teachers in the classroom.

Delle Tanioka

Delle Tanioka volunteers much of her time and serves as Program Director for the Junior Achievement Company Program.  A program which focuses on using real-life, hands on experiences to teach high school students entrepreneurship and business skills.

 

Delle has an extensive background in education, educational administration and non-profit management.  She has spent several years working in preschools, as a teacher and director, and more recently as the Oahu Coordinator for People Attentive to Children (PATCH). At Junior Achievement, Delle has continued to pursue her passion for education and working with the community.

Our JA Hawaii Program and Operations Manager for the island of Oahu works with our schools to provide programs to grades K-12. These programs focus on helping to prepare our youth with financial literacy and a sense of entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Alan Shiraishi

As District Manager, Alan manages daily operations of Junior Achievement programs on Hawaii Island, primarily East Hawaii, by building relationships with educators, recruiting and training volunteers and implementing all administrative procedures. He coordinates the execution of programs, increases public awareness for all programs, and assures program quality and expansion.

Prior to his current JA role, Alan volunteered for JA's elementary, intermediate and high school programs for over 14 years. Alan also has over 40 years of experience in business management in the banking industry and is well connected in the Hilo community with current and past affiliations with the Waiakea Lions Club, Toastmasters International, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii, to name a few.
