Junior Achievement Accepts Grant from Topeka Credit Union Foundation
10/18/18 9:32 PM: Topeka, KS - Junior Achievement of Kansas accepted a grant in the amount of $3,780.00 from the Topeka Credit Union Foundation this morning at the annual Benefactor's Breatkfast. The breakfast was held in conjunction with International Credit Union Day.
The Topeka Credit Union Foundation awarded $31,947.17 to nine different non profit organizations for 2018. The Topeka Credit Union Foundation consists of MidAmerican Credit Union, Azura Credit Union, Kansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Credit Union, and Envista Credit Union. Since 2004, TCUF has provided over $246,000 to over 15 different nonprofit organizations in the Topeka area.
The grant funds will be used to provide programming to Eisenhower Middle School in Topeka, Kansas. Middle school JA programs include Economics for Success, Global Marketplace, and It's My Future, providing information on a vast variety of topics related to workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
