Schrant Joins Junior Achievement of Kansas Statewide Board of Directors
6/13/18 9:42 PM: Wichita, KS – Kimberly Schrant, Founder & CEO of Kansas Money Coach, is the newest member to the Junior Achievement (JA) of Kansas statewide board of directors. This appointment was made at the quarterly statewide board of directors meeting on Tuesday May 8, 2018, in Topeka.
Schrant has an extensive background in accounting and finance. Prior to forming Kanas Money Coach, LLC, she worked with Grant Thornton LLP and Kennedy & Coe LLC (now KCoe Isom LLP). She holds CPA licenses in both Kansas and Colorado, is a member of both the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is frequently asked to speak and write on accounting and finance topics. Schrant is a shareholder in SPK Grocery, Inc; a hometown full-service grocery store that caters to barbeque enthusiasts and is an active member in the competition barbeque community. Schrant enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Patrick and son, Sydney.
Schrant joins the thirteen-member board of directors, with representatives present from the three JA of Kansas service areas of Topeka, Lawrence, and Wichita. This board is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the statewide nonprofit organization.
