Textron Aviation Hosts Wichita Students for Annual Onsite Program
Thirty students from area Wichita schools attended the Junior Achievement of Kansas onsite program at Textron Aviation on Thursday April 4 in Wichita, KS. Representatives from Textron Aviation hosted the students for an entire day of learning, lunch and a tour. The day kicked off with an introduction of Textron Aviation by JA of Kansas Wichita Advisory Board Member Gwen Horsch and Heather Meyer. Other activities of the day included in-depth sessions on knowing your personal brand, communication & conflict management and strengthening of soft skills. These sessions closely align with Junior Achievement of Kansas programming and the annual publication of the Kansas College and Career Guide.
Textron Aviation is an annual supporter of Junior Achievement of Kansas. In addition to hosting the onsite program, the company sponsors the Wichita Business Hall of Fame, the WSU Skills to Achieve Symposium and the Kansas College and Career Guide. Textron Aviation has been the winner of the Velma Wallace Memorial Recognition Award from JA of Kansas the last two years for providing exemplary volunteer support in JA classrooms.
