Part time position, approximately 20-24 hours a week
Position Concept: This part-time position is responsible for all the administrative and financial aspects of the organization and the office management. Reports directly to Junior Achievement president. Work for a statewide for-impact organization making a measurable difference in the lives of Maine students. 20-24 hours a week with flex schedule.
- Bookkeeping: pay bills, prepare weekly treasurer reports, monthly board reports, reconcile accounts, make weekly transfers, make weekly deposits
- Administrative duties: invoicing, acknowledgement letters, data entry in BCRM & QuickBooks, manage online giving platform, annual letter campaigns, financial reporting for annual report and donor reports, prepare yearly audits, follow ups with donors, JA USA Compliance reporting throughout the year, end of year program verifications
- Office management: works with vendors to review and execute new leases, order materials, liaison to board members & JA for donations/paperwork
- Ensure positive and efficient customer service experience for our constituents
Education and Experience Required:
Associate degree or equivalent experience. Strong oral/written communication, organizational and multitasking skills. Computer literacy. Proficient in accrual accounting & has strong data entry skills. Detail orientated. Proficient in QuickBooks software. Self-motivator. Team player. Can work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
