The Hartford Hosts JA Fundraiser at Taco Trio
See the announcement below about The Hartford's effort to highlight their support of small businesses. To show their appreciation for their business, Hartford employees hold cash mobs, called HartMobs, where they purchase customers’ products or services. The excitement of a HartMob with its crowd of customers, burst of sales, and additional exposure in the community delivers a welcome boost. It brings to life The Hartford's belief that when their employees join forces with their communities, their agents, and their small business owners, together everyone can prevail.
Celebrate Taco Tuesday with Authentic Mexican Cuisine from Taco Trio
Join The Hartford at the Portland office’s first HartMob supporting their small business customer Taco Trio on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m.
Located at 119 Ocean St. in South Portland, this restaurant offers traditional recipes from various regions of Mexico using fresh ingredients and family recipes. In fact, Manny, owner of Taco Trio and a native of central Mexico, was taught to cook by his mother.
Manny started with a food truck when he lived in North Carolina and re-located to Maine where he decided to open a brick and mortar restaurant. Taco Trio has been a member of the Portland community for about seven years.
The restaurant’s owners conscientiously contribute to the local economy by supporting other local small businesses in the community and participating in the Portland Buy Local Program. The local business was awarded Small Business of the Year by the City of South Portland last year.
HartMobs are open to employees, their friends, and families. For every customer transaction this small business has on the day of our event, The Hartford will donate $10 to the local Junior Achievement of Maine to support entrepreneurial education for students. Learn more about the featured small business by following Taco Trio on Facebook and Instagram and join us on October 9th!
