Traditional In-Classroom

Traditional In-Classroom

Where: In a school classroom in our community
Time Investment: Typically one hour, for five days

As a JA Traditional Volunteer, you'll be paired with a teacher in a classroom. This delivery method is an effective and popular way to show students a connection between the skills they are learning in the classroom and how they can get a more fulfilling career and life.

JA in a Day

JA in a Day

Where: In a school classroom in our community
Time Investment: The length of one school day‎

This experience uses the same JA programs as the traditional method, but it's condensed into a single day for a high-impact experience! Perfect for the volunteer who can take just a day away from work.

JA Job Shadow®

JA Job Shadow®

Where: At your company or organization
Time Investment: Typically a half business day

Students in our community come to you! You'll give them insight into your job and give them a tour of your company so they can have an opportunity to see how work gets done. It's a really great way to show them how products are made or services are promoted.

JA Titan Challenge®

JA Titan Challenge®

Where: At a local business or university (6 locations statewide)
Time Investment: Typically 6 hours (8am-2pm)

The Titan Challenge is a virtual business strategy competition where teams of three high school students work with a mentor from the business community to guide a virtual company through the ups and downs of the market while honing skills such as creativity, finance, collaboration, strategy, leadership, and more.
