Welcome!

Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South has been dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy since 1955. Through an extensive offering of experiential, hands-on programs JA empowers students by helping them discover the tools they need to own their economic success.

More than 10,000 students participate in JA programs each year throughout the Greater Memphis area. Our programs are taught by volunteers from all walks of life, including: business people, college students, parents and retirees. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of our organization.

32nd Annual Bowlin' on the River Bowl-A-Thon

February 18-19 and 25-26, 2017 | BOWLATHON.COM For the past 32 years, generous people from all across Memphis and the Mid-South have laced up their bowling shoes and raised funds for local K-12 economic education! The Bowl-A-Thon is JA's largest fundraising event of the year and doubles as a great team-building activity for your company. Join us in 2017 as we once again hit the lanes to help our young people own their economic success! For more information, contact Cody Fletcher at cfletcher@jamemphis.org or 901-507-2068. Sponsorship opportunties are available.

MassMutual FutureSmart Challenge

January 19, 2017 | 10:00 AM | FedEx Forum MassMutual's FutureSmart Challenge is a financial education program that offers middle school students the opportunity to learn about making smart financial choices. In an exciting interactive seminar, led by actor and author Hill Harper, our young leaders will learn about topics such as how education and career choices can impact what they earn. This seminar will be hosted with the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum and will be followed by a Junior Achievement financial education curriculum in the classroom during the school year. Up to 3,000 young leaders from the Memphis area will be challenged to take positive steps toward becoming financial ambassadors for themselves and their communities. To sign up, contact Steven Fox at sfox@jamemphis.org or 901-507-2072.
