Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes EVENTS
At Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!
JA Bowling for Financial Literacy
The Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon presents an opportunity for co-workers to build camaraderie and network with one another and other companies during a fun afternoon at the bowling ally.
This night not only provides networking oppotunities but it raises funds to provide curriculum to local students in financial litercy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness education. The JA Bowl-A-Thon is a great time and a vital peer to peer fundraiser!
This year's theme is DISNEY! Come dressed as your team's favorite Disney movie.
JA Fall Movie Premiere
Do you want to watch a movie AND help students across West Michigan? You can do both at JA's Fall Movie Premiere of Frozen II. You can buy tickets for the event or sponsor at various levels. Tickets include a ticket to the movie, pop, popcorn, and special activities!
Frozen II: Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven leave Arendelle to travel to an ancient, autumn-bound forest of an enchanted land. They set out to find the origin of Elsa's powers in order to save their kingdom.

JA Girls' Dream Fair: A STEM Experience
The JA Girls' Dream Fair will inspire hundreds of 7th and 8th grade girls in the greater Grand Rapids and Lakeshore areas. In a one day format, JA will introduce these girls to female mentors who work in STEM-related fields and show them exciting future possibilities. As research suggests, this is crucial in increasing girls' pursuit of STEM careers. This event is guided by JA It's My Future curriclum. Girls will investigate, ask questions, and be inspired to consider STEM-based majors and careers in the future.

JA Titan Business Challenge
Fuel the entrepreneur in you! The JA Titan Challenge is a day long business strategy competition for high school studebts. Teams of 4 students work togeteher with a mentor from the business community to guide a fledgeing company through the ups and downs of the market. The Titan Challenge draws on a number of skills each team meber will need to become a meaningful contributor in tomrrow's workforce: creativity, finance, collaboration, strategy, leadership, and more. This event happens in Feburary 2020 at the Davenport Student Center 6191 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
Join JA for a night of trivia! This is an adult fundraising night the same day of the student competition at Davenport's Downtown Campus, 45 ottawa AVE NE Grand Rapids. Doors open 5:00 pm and the event starts at 6:00 pm! There will be appetizers provided, a silent auction, and a cash bar.
JA Pitch Day
JA Pitch Day is a competition where qualified student teams who participated in a 2018-2019 JA Company Program from the Michigan Great Lakes region will be pitching their business plans to local entrepreneurs and business professionals. These select students have worked diligently alongside their peers, dedicated volunteers, and educators for an entire semester to ensure they successfully transformed a need within their community into a product or service.
To capitalize on the students' talents, determination, and promising leadership abilities, JA Pitch Day will consist of several professional development activities, networking opportunities, prizes, and more. The three main parts of the day include a Student Business Pitch, Student EXPO, and a Vendor Fair. Students will walk away from this event with more confidence, a deeper understanding of business, and the satisfaction that they put their best foot forward.
Free Enterprise Golf Invitational & Pebble Beach Raffle
The Free Enterprise Golf Invitational is a prestigious golf outing in which guests get to spend an afternoon with business leaders.
Feel like royalty. Our course host, the private and exclusive Wuskowhan Players Club, offers a level of service unmatched by any other club in West Michigan.
Feel like a pro. As one of the 22 invitation-only foursomes, you'll have full command of this award-winning golf course.
By helping Junior Achievement raise funds, you're helping us reach approximately 70,000 Michigan youth. You'll be giving our children the gift of knowledge, understanding, and foresight.
JA West Michigan Business Hall of Fame
Junior Achievement honors Business Hall of Fame laureates for their leadership and success in business and community involvement.
The JA Business Hall of Fame is a black-tie (optional) event that provides Junior Achievement the opportunity to recognize our areas most respected leaders for their commitment to and investment in the community.
The JA Business Hall of Fame laureates are part of a league of outstanding individuals who have made legendary contributions to the free enterprise system. Through their actions and accomplishments, the Business Hall of Fame laureates provide inspiration for the next generation as they take the reins of leadership in the years to come.
JA Annual Lakeshore Golf Scramble
The JA Lakeshore Golf Scramble is an exciting golf event that incorporates golf, food, prizes, and fundraising! At the 21st Annual JA Lakeshore Golf Scramble, you and your guests will play an 18-Hole scramble, enjoy a provided breakfast and dinner, have the opportunity to win prizes, and partcipate in a silent auction.
