At Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

JA Youth Summit for Future Entrepreneurs - Northwest Service Office

Junior Achievement is pleased to announce its 6th annual Youth Summit for Future Entrepreneurs, which will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participation in the summit will inspire young people to build a foundation of skills, knowledge, and interest to help them own their economic success. All youth attending school in northern Michigan are encouraged to participate.

JA Titan Challenge

JA Titan Challenge

Where: Davenport University
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Fuel the entrepreneur in you! The Titan Challenge is a day-long business strategy competition for high school students. Teams of three students work with a mentor from the business community to guide a fledgling company through the ups and downs of the market. The Titan Challenge draws on a number of skills each team member will need to become a meaningful contributor in tomorrow's workforce: creativity, finance, collaboration, strategy, leadership, and more.

Join Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes on Thursday, February 28th  for JA Titan Trivia. This is an adult fundraising event at Davenport University's Downtown Campus, 45 Ottawa Ave NE, Grand Rapids. Doors open at 5:00 pm and event starts at 6:00! 

There will be hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and a cash bar.

JA Bowling for Financial Literacy - Lansing

JA Bowling for Financial Literacy - Lansing

The Junior Achievement Bowling for Financial Literacy presents an opportunity for co-workers to build camaraderie and network with one another and other companies during a fun afternoon at the bowling lanes. 

JA Girls Dream Fair (Holland)

JA Girls Dream Fair (Holland)

When: March 27, 2018
Where: Yanfeng Automotive, Holland, MI
Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm

The JA Girls Dream Fair will inspire 300 eighth grade girls in the greater Holland area (priority given to those who qualify for free or reduced lunch and may be first generation college graduates).  In a one day format, JA will introduce these girls to female mentors who work in STEM-related fields and show them exciting future possibilities.  As research suggests, this is crucial in increasing girls' pursuit of STEM careers. Guided by the JA It's My Future curriculum, girls will investigate, ask questions, and be inspired to consider STEM-based majors and careers in their futures.

The Junior Achievement West Michigan Business Hall of Fame event exists to honor prominent business leaders who have made extraordinary contributions to West Michigan, earned the respect of the local community, and called attention to the free enterprise system and its value to our community.

Do you want to watch a movie and help students across Michigan? You can do both at JA's Spring Movie Premiere where we will be presenting Incredibles 2.

This is the bi-annual JA Movie Premiere. We will be showing Incredibles 2 in three different locations, and each location will have raffles, door prizes, and trivia events.
