JA BizTown Training

Prior to teaching the JA BizTown curriculum for the first time, we require teachers to attend JA BizTown New Teacher Training. We also ask that one returning teacher from each school attends either a Returning Teacher Workshop or Returning Teacher Consultation. Once you submit your JA BizTown application you will receive a confirmation letter by the middle of May which will give details of training dates for the 2017-18 school year.

Businesses and Jobs in JA BizTown

There are 14 businesses in our JA BizTown with a variety of different jobs. See our jobs.
If you have questions about which job might be best for any of your students, please contact us. We are happy to discuss different job tasks and potential modifications to meet your students' needs.

JA BizBriefs

As part of Lesson 1 in the Business Management unit, you will complete the BizBriefs Extension Activity. These BizBriefs highlights our local JA BizTown sponsors as students research what characteristics make a quality business. View our corporate profiles.

JA Souvenirs

We offer the option for students to purchase souvenirs while at JA BizTown. You can either submit a pre-order to JA before your visit, or you can choose to allow time in your simulation for students to purchase souvenirs directly from JA Staff. More information about this process can be found in your curriculum guide behind the Miscellaneous Tab. Click here to view the JA souvenirs available, and current pricing.
