JA BizTown Summer Camp 2017

Join us for JA BizTown Summer Camp 2017!  Camp is open to students attending the Pittston Area School District that will enter fifth or sixth grade in the fall of 2017.

Camp will be held from June 26, 2017 through June 30, 2017 from 9:00AM - 3:30PM.  Lunch and one snack are provided daily.  Thanks to the generosity of Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services, there is no charge for the camp, but all campers must attend the Pittston Area School District.  Campers are registered on a first come, first serve basis with a limit of 60 campers.

A second week of JA BizTown Summer Camp 2017 is now available!  This camp is open to students entering fifth or sixth grade in the fall of 2017.  

Through the generosity of Pride Mobility Products, this camp will be offered at no charge from July 17, 2017 through July 21, 2017 starting at 9:00AM daily and ending at 3:30PM daily.  Lunch and one snack are provided daily.  Campers are registered on a first come, first serve basis with a limit of 60 campers.

Scholarship Opportunity for High School Students

Thank you to Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services for providing the opportunity for one deserving high school student to receive a $500 scholarship to help offset the costs of continuing his or her education.  The scholarship will be awarded at the 2017 Business Hall of Fame on June 2, 2017.  To see the requirements and apply for the scholarship, please click here.

Junior Achievement Students Pay it Forward

JA programs teach students the importance of philanthropy, and these lessons were put into action in November by a very generous group of JA BizTown students from Dallas Elementary School.  Students arrived at JA BizTown with dozens of toys for needy children as part of the Toys for Tots program.  Our toy box was overflowing, and thanks to these students' generosity, local children will have a happy holiday!
