JA of Northern New England Events

At Junior Achievement of Northern New England, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

JA STEM Symposium

JA STEM Symposium

When: Tuesday, October 23, 2018
Where: Greater Lawrence Technical School

The JA STEM Symposium is a day long offsite experience for high school students. Through their visit to a STEM company students have a hands-on and relevant experience to prepare for their future pursuing education and careers in the STEM fields/industries. 

This program is locally created by Junior Achievement of Northern New England to address the interests of STEM-based corporate partners to engage high school students on-site and offer greater exposure to STEM.

JA Stock Market Challenge

JA Stock Market Challenge

When: Thursday, December 6th, 2018
Where: State Street Global Advisors, One Iron Street, Boston, MA

The Stock Market Challenge is a technology based simulation of the stock market in which every 60 seconds represents a day of trading. Beginning with a hypothetical account balance of $500,000, the stakes are high and the competition is fierce.

Did you know that 2019 is our Centennial year? During the course of the past 100 years, Junior Achievement has evolved into a multinational organization reaching more than 10 million students in 100 countries, with programs that promote entrepreneurship, career readiness and financial literacy throughout grades K-12. JA has been critical in helping kids get 100% ready for whatever their futures hold! Join us at the State Room on May 2, 2019 to celebrate our centennial year!

Enjoy an evening with co-workers and colleagues for a "Party with a Purpose!" Junior Achievement's Bowl-A-Thon brings together companies and business profes-sionals for a night of networking, camaraderie, and fun. Help us inspire the next generation!

 JA Company Program is an in-school and after-school program where highly-motivated high school students explore the world of business by forming and managing their own company.  

JA Golf Classic

JA Golf Classic

When: Monday, July 8th, 2019
Where: Black Rock Country Club
Time: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

This fundraiser features a great day of golf with on course lunch and drinks followed by a cocktail recpetion, silent auction and awards dinner. Spend a day networking and supporting Junior Achievement at this beautiful golf course.

JA Summer Institute

JA Summer Institute

When: August 2019
Where: Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Time: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM

Next Summer in August 2019 join fellow high school students to ignite entrepreneurial spirit, learm about personal finance, network with business leaders, and collaborate with peers from various schools in the Greater Boston area.

Spirit of JA Celebration

When: Spring, 2020
Time: 5:30-8:30 PM

Each year corporate and civic leaders gather for Junior Achievement's annual dinner to help build a better Northern New England. Join us in 2020 for an interactive evening where discovering the JA mission is the theme.
 
The night will include hands-on demonstrations, student participation, and a program that will bring the impact and mission of JA to life. There will be a special keynote speaker, silent auction items, and we will recognize leaders who embody the spirit of community commitment to youth education.
