JA of Northern California Events

Junior Achievement of Northern California hosts several signature events each year to raise money to support financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship education. Each event celebrates JA's commitment to collaboration and partnership. So whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, JA offers a variety of ways for you to support the mission of inspiring and preparing students to succeed. Get involved and connect with others who are passionate about youth, business and economic development.

Time: Anytime

Whether you like to BOWL or BIKE, play KICKBALL or want to organize a HIKE—We encourage you to recruit a team to fundraise for the JA mission. Build community in your region by hosting events, which raise funds for JA's educational programing.

JA Finance Park Mobile - Monterey County

JA Finance Park Mobile - Monterey County

When: February 24-28, 2020
Where: Monterey County Fairgrounds

JA Finance Park® is a month-long program that introduces students to personal financial planning and career exploration. At the culmination of this teacher-led program, students visit the mobile park, a realistic on-site or virtual community, to put into practice what they've learned by developing and committing to a personal budget.

In the simulated business expo setting, middle and high school students learn critical skills related to budgeting and money management. Students make budget decisions about everything from housing to child care and groceries.

Throughout 2020, Junior Achievement will celebrate impact with our local JA NorCal communities. Let's share a toast and mission stories with all those who helped JA NorCal empower our Silicon Valley youth to succeed and own their economic future!

Join us for news on our latest JA programs, initiatives, and connect with JA educators, volunteers, board members and alumni from the Silicon Valley.

Hors d'oeuvres and wine will be provided. Guests are welcome and looking forward to seeing you there!!

JA Stock Market Challenge - Fresno County

Student Event: Don't miss this exclusive event where student teams are issued $1,000,000 to buy mock stock in fictitious companies. Once the opening bell is rung, the market opens & every 60 seconds is a new trading day! This high-tech stock trading simulation gives students an eye-opening experience into the rapid-fire atmosphere of financial trading. 
 
Evening Event: This unique & dynamic event brings together professionals for a night of fun and friendly investment competition while supporting youth education in our community. Increase your company's visibility and network with other top companies as you share in the excitement of this one-of -a-kind evening.

JA Company of the Year Competition

The JA Company Program® unlocks the innate ability within students to solve a problem or a need in their community through organizing a student run business. Students' participation in this project based learning opportunity spanning a semester, will culminate at JA of Northern California's local competition.
