Junior Achievement of Northern California hosts several signature events each year to raise money to support financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship education. Each event celebrates JA's commitment to collaboration and partnership. So whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, JA offers a variety of ways for you to support the mission of inspiring and preparing students to succeed.

Giants Race

Giants Race

When: Summer 2018
Where: AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
Time: 7:00am

Run (or walk) along the picturesque Embarcadero in either the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon fun run format for charity.  Join over 20,000 attendees during one of the Bay Area's most trafficked race weekend.

Why Participate?
The Giant Race for JA offers opportunities to sponsor our students, student alumni, educators, staff in the first Back-to-School fundraiser event of the year.

All participants receive a medal, t-shirt and Giants player bobblehead in addition to our JA runner swag.

S.H.E. Leads

S.H.E. Leads

When: November 2, 2017
Where: San Jose Woman's Club, San Jose
Time: 8:30am

A forum for female business leaders, entrepreneurs, and STEM professionals to share their knowledge, insight, and professional strategies that lead to success for the next generaton. This event will serve as a learning opportunity for female JA students and a resource for women to network, mentor and grow.

Why Participate?
Women remain underrepresented in the science and engineering workforce, holding only 24% of Tech Jobs and 18% of STEM Leadership roles*.  Through this innovative JA conference, we aim to bridge the gender gap by providing our young girls with workforce educaton and mentorship.

Monterey Business Hall of Fame

Celebrating its 13th year of business leadership recognion within the Monterey Bay Area, this esteemed annual luncheon held on the prestigious grounds of Pebble Beach honors the influental community leaders of the greater Central Coast Region.

Why Participate?
During the 2017-18 school year, JA aims to deploy educational classes and career mentorship to over 5,600 students in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties; helping the youth within our community succeed in today's growing global economy.  It's our mission to fund 75 classrooms through this special event. 
 

JA Business Hall of Fame

JA's signature fundraising gala celebrates its 31st year of honoring the most innovative and inspiring business leaders of the San Francico Bay Area.  Enjoy a networking cocktail reception and live auction leading up to our Laureate award presentations ceremony.

Why Participate?
Attended by over 300 of the areas most influential thought leaders of big business, the Business Hall of Fame offers a great opportunity for companies to support the spirit of innovation and inclusive leadership. 

4.01k Race for Financial Literacy

4.01k Race for Financial Literacy

When: April 8, 2018
Where: Crissy Field, San Francisco

Grab your friends, family and coworkers and come walk, run or jog for your physical and financial fitness this April!  The 4.01K Race for Financial Fitness is an event for all ages, and everyone is welcome- the more runners the better!

Why Participate?
Join our network of educators, alumni and members of our business community to support JA's mission to provide 91,000 Bay Area students with economic education and workforce skills.  For every $1,000 raised through this event, JA can supply the resources for a classroom of 30 students. 

 

JA's Bowl-a-Thon

JA's Bowl-a-Thon

JA's Bowl-a-Thon is more than just a single day event; It is an entire season!  Each company has the opportunity to select their own date, time and place to best fit their schedule, launching an employee-driven fundraiser to support JA programming.

Why Participate?
We make it easy for your organization to host a community feel-good event! Not only do we set up all the event logistics and provide a plug & play online fundraising portal for your team, we staff your bowling bash!  Count on us to handle the money, distribute prizes and make sure everyone has fun!

 

Golf Classic

Golf Classic

When: June 18, 2018
Where: Diablo Country Club, Diablo

Held at the prestigious Diablo Country Club private golf couse among the foothills of Mt. Diablo, players will have access to an all-inclusive round of golf with a complimentary caddie for each foursome, a Titlest shopping experience, followed by dinner, silent & live auction, and awards program.

Why Participate?
Our annual golf classic is a first-class fundraiser for JA programs that inspire today's students and tomorrow's business leaders for our end-of-school year fundraiser extravaganza!

Bocce Tournament

Bocce Tournament

When: June 4, 2018
Where: Campo di Bocce, Los Gatos

Celebrate the on-set summer and "La Dolce Vita" with our fun team-building bocce ball company tournament. Guests enjoy a taste of Tuscany buffet, open bar and raffle prizes, generously sponsored by The Comerica Charitale Foundation.

Why Participate?
As the signature special event of the South Bay, the $75,000 raised through this fun-filled event funds educational programing to 15,000+ K-12th grade students in the Silicon Valley Region.  This is a feel-good team event appeals to the competitive bocce enthusiast and the savvy business networker.
