Junior Achievement of Northern California hosts several signature events each year to raise money to support financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship education. Each event celebrates JA's commitment to collaboration and partnership. So whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, JA offers a variety of ways for you to support the mission of inspiring and preparing students to succeed.

JA Tech & Innovation Day

JA Tech & Innovation Day

When: February 22, 2018
Where: Bishop Ranch, San Ramon
Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

Hosted in Tri-Valley's innovation hub of San Ramon, JA will bring together 150+ underserved local high school students for a day of tech education and workforce engagement. Through hands-on workshops, students will gain insights and exposure to tech career paths and receive mentorship from the region's leaders of technology.

JA Stock Market Challenge

JA Stock Market Challenge

When: March 20, 2018
Where: Falls Event Center, Fresno
Time: Student Competition 9:30am-12:30pm, Sponsors Networking Event 5:00pm-6:30pm

High school students and adults will get a taste of the fast-paced, high-stakes stock market at Junior Achievement's Stock Market Challenge. Using state-of-the-art technology in a simulated trading environment, each team is issued $1,000,000 to buy mock stock in fictitious companies.

The trading is fast, fun and furious as 60 trading days are condensed into two hours with a new trading day beginning every 80 seconds! Teams must think on their feet as they make real-trades in real-time, while filtering through the changing news and stock tips tracking the latest market trends. At the end of day, one team will be crowned Stock Market Champion.

JA Bowl-A-Thon

JA Bowl-A-Thon

When: March 2018-May 2018
Where: Locations throughout Northern California

Bowl-A-Thon is one of JA's largest fundraising events which helps us provide economic education at NO COST to local schools. They are "parties with a purpose" that encourage interaction between company departments, builds goodwill and boosts team building in a fun environment.
 
Why JA?
Junior Achievement is the largest nonprofit in the nation dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. We work in partnership with our local schools and businesses to improve student knowledge in the areas of financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship and will serve 90,000 K-12th grade students in Northern California this year.

JA S.H.E. Leads

When: April 19, 2018
Where: Bishop Ranch, San Ramon
Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

A summit for female business leaders, entrepreneurs, and STEM professionals to share their knowledge, insight, and strategies. S.H.E. Leads serves as a learning opportunity for JA students to network, mentor, grow and gain exposure to STEM career paths.

Where: San Francisco Marriott Marquis, San Francisco

JA's signature fundraising gala celebrates its 31st year of honoring the most innovative and inspiring business leaders of the San Francico Bay Area!  Arrive to the cocktail reception designed for networking and bid on one of many fun and adventurous silent auction items. Enjoy a gourmet dinner while being entertained by the Laureates and their award presentation ceremony.

Where: Campo di Bocce, Los Gatos

Celebrate the on-set of summer and "La Dolce Vita" with our fun team-building bocce ball company tournament. Guests enjoy a taste of Tuscany buffet, open bar and raffle prizes.
 
Why Participate?
As the signature special event of the South Bay, the $75,000 raised through this fun-filled event funds educational programing to 15,000+ K-12th grade students in the Silicon Valley Region. This is a feel-good team event appeals to the competitive bocce enthusiast and the savvy business networker.

JA Golf Classic

Held at the prestigious Diablo Country Club, a private golf course nestled in the foothills of Mt. Diablo, players will have access to an all-inclusive round of golf with a complimentary caddie for each foursome, a Titlest shopping experience, a gourmet dinner, silent auction, live auction, and awards program.
