Congratulations to Junior Achievement's 2017 Scholarship Recipients
Darik Garber, Sandy Valley High School
Awarded the $2,000 JAECO Scholarship. He attended Junior Achievement Personal Finance, College & Career Connections Day held annually at Walsh University for over 1,000 high school Juniors. "Through just this one day, I saw the importance of making my financial plan as early as possible. The day also allowed me to learn about those skills that will make me be more successful in my education and career," said Garber, "After that day, I began to have a written budget." He will continue his education at Bowling Green State University as an Education Major.
Zachary Kile, North Canton Hoover High School
Awarded the $1,500 JAECO scholarship. He participated in the JA company program as VP of sales of their student company, Empower. As an entrepreneur of two business, KNS Landscaping and Super Shine Auto Detailing, Kile said, "The JA program has truly cemented my mission to become a successful entrepreneur." He will continue his education at Cleveland State University majoring in Company Management & Entrepreneurship.
