Congratluations to Junior Achievement's 2019 Scholarship Recipients

Kevin Gartner, North Canton Hoover High School

2018 Scholarship Winners Kevin Gartner

Awarded the $1,000 JAECO Scholarship. Kevin participated in JA Economics for Success as a North Canton Middle School 8th grade student and the JA Company Program in high school. Kevin said that his experiences with Junior Achievement not only affirmed his desire to run a business, but also played an influential role in his development as a leader. He will further his education at John Carroll University.





Shaun McCracken, GlenOak High School

2018 Scholarship Winners Shaun McCracken
Awarded the $1,300 JAECO scholarship. Shaun participated in JA Economics for Success as a middle school student, JA Personal Finance, College and Career Readiness Day as a junior in high school, and the JA Company Program as a senior. Shaun said that his participation in JA helped him gain massive amounts of experience about the inner workings of the business world and helped him improve skills in leadership, cooperation, sales and empathy. Shaun will attend The Ohio State University to pursue computer engineering.

Garret Pierce, Marlington High School

2018 Scholarship Winners Garret Pierce

Awarded the $1,000 JAECO Scholarship. JA Company program was an avenue to help him answer so many questions Garret had about the economics of "real life". Junior Achievement helped him realize how important financial literacy was to own his personal success. He will take the skills he learned in Junior Achievement to Ohio University to pursue a degree in accounting.
