Who We Are

Junior Achievement programs provide a sophisticated approach to learning that students need in our rapidly changing world through experiential, hands-on learning, delivered by trained community volunteers. Junior Achievement's K-12 programs integrate quality economic education materials with the real-life experiences of volunteers to make education and economics relevant.

By creating partnerships with educators and adult volunteers, Junior Achievement is providing economic education beginning in the earliest years of learning, for students at all economic levels. The result is students who have increased learning as well as problem-solving and decision-making skills in workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.

  • Workforce Readiness ensures that today and tomorrow's workforce has the skills, competencies and behaviors necessary to succeed in the workplace.
  • Financial Literacy is an individual's ability to make informed judgments and effective decisions about the use and management of their money.
  • Entrepreneurship is taking the initiative and assuming risk to create value, either as a business owner or employee

JA's strength is in building collaborative partnerships with local businesses, organizations and foundations in order to achieve the funding and volunteer levels necessary to succeed in educating a greater number of students annually.

Our Impact:

  • Educating students in the following North Central Ohio counties: Ashland, Coshocton, Crawford, Holmes, Knox, Marion, Medina, Morrow, Portage, Summit, Richland and Wayne counties
