Meet Amberly Archer, Junior Achievement of North Florida Program Manager for Southside and Mandarin

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Orange Park, a smaller town just outside of Jacksonville!
How did you get started with Junior Achievement?
I started volunteering with JA back when I was 15 years old and loved the people and the platform. After college, I accepted an Administrative Assistant job at JA then became a Program Manager a couple years later. I love that I have been a part of this great organization for so long!
What would you say to someone who's considering getting involved with JA?
Try something out of your comfort zone! I am most comfortable with elementary age students but found that I had absolute loads of fun teaching high school classes!
What's your favorite thing about JA?
I love working closely with the school systems in the Jacksonville area. I get to meet so many unique people every day, and I get to see students learn important life skills! The light on a students face when they learn a new concept is amazing!
General Update on Life in Social Distancing
I got married a few weeks before all this social distancing stuff started, so I have been enjoying the quality time with my new husband and our 3 cats immensely! I have also been using my free time for reading, an activity I love and did not seem to have enough time to enjoy before. My friends and I even started a virtual book club!
