The annual $mart Women Make Change! is Junior Achievement's signature event to benefit the JA Girl$ program. JA Girl$ has educated more than 19,000 girls and young women in financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship since 2006.
 
This annual event brings together those in the community whose unwavering support impacts what JA Girl$ and Junior Achievement are able to accomplish now and into the future.
 

 

Keynote Speaker: Beth Satter - CitiBeth Satter Citi

Managing Director 
US Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control 
 
Beth Satter is the head of Citi's US Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control group, leading a team of six hundred risk professionals responsible for managing operational risk for the retail banking, mortgage and credit cards businesses. In this role, Beth is responsible for risk assessment and mitigation, scenario planning, quality assurance, third party supplier oversight, regulatory engagement, data governance and crisis management. 
 
Since joining Citi in 1999, Beth has held a variety of executive level positions with increasing scope, responsibility and criticality for the firm. Her experience is concentrated in establishing sound business practices, program execution, and strengthening operational controls. She also has deep experience managing credit card conversions and onboarding new credit card partners for Citi. 
 
Earlier in her career, Beth held positions at Discover Financial Services and Underwriters Laboratories as a programmer, business analyst, technical writer and trainer. These experiences helped lay the foundation to her future success as a highly detailed, results oriented leader who inspires trust, challenges the status quo, and operates with integrity. Beth has also served as a board member for Department Stores National Bank and the New York Foundation for the Arts. 
 
Beth graduated from The University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems. In her free time, Beth enjoys running, traveling, volunteering, and is an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Beth resides in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband Mark and has two grown children.

$mart Women Make Change! is supported by a grant from the Delores Barr Weaver Forever Event Fund, est. 2015.
 

About the Delores Barr Weaver Forever Event Fund:

Delores Barr Weaver established this Fund in 2015 to provide a $10,000 grant annually to support a premiere fundraising event in perpetuity at 20 local nonprofit organizations. This grant will provide a permanent source of income for organizations that Mrs. Weaver has generously supported for many years. It is her hope that other individuals will make similar permanent gifts to organizations that have been important to them. This Fund is one of a collection of Funds established by Delores Barr Weaver at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Mrs. Weaver has an extraordinary legacy of philanthropy, and she has provided transformative support to dozens of nonprofit organizations that uplift, enlighten and advance our community. Her establishment of the Delores Barr Weaver Fund ($50 million) in 2012 was the largest gift in The Community Foundation's history.
