highlights from the lower hudson valley golf classic at Leewood

On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, we spent a gorgeous day on the course at our annual Lower Hudson Valley Golf Classic at Leewood Golf Club. This event each year helps us raise much-needed funds for our students across this region. Thanks to our great supporters, we raised over $50,000 at this event.

The day ended with a fantastic speech from our 2019-2020 Student of the Year, Allenia Robinson, a senior at Lincoln High School in Yonkers who was chosen to represent JA New York for this school year after several rounds of intense interviews. Allenia shared her experiences with JA and how they have shaped both who she is today and her path moving forward.

Thank you to our event sponsors: All State Sales Group, Crown Castle, Accenture, Amora Coffee, Capital One, Deloitte, EY, Fluent, People's United Bank, Sterling National Bank, and Securitas. Specail thank you to the members of the JA New York Board of Directors and Lower Hudson Valley Advisory Board who helped  make this event a huge success: Chris Levendos, Mike Finn, David Barr, Jim Fosina, Richard Schnapper, Gary Kozlowski, and Joe McCoy.
