Career Exploration Fair Sponsorship | Junior Achievement of OKI Partners

The JA Virtual Career Exploration Fair will provide elementary students with the opportunity to view pre-recorded videos from business professionals in their community and region. Business and community professionals will discuss and demonstrate career journeys. Each speaker will prepare a "show and tell" presentation according to the guidelines JA has provided.

It is important that students understand the connection between what they are learning in the classroom and the "real world." The JA Virtual Career Exploration Fair is intended to help students develop a sense of career awareness and how all jobs help a community.

Objectives:
Students will:
• Observe career speakers and the tools they use.
• Identify the variety of careers people have in the community.
• Express how jobs require specific interests and skills.
• Relate the impact of personal interests and abilities on career choices.
• Examine how school skills apply to career paths.
• Explain the importance of staying in school and graduating high school.
• Start building a resume for the 3rd-5th grade curriculum.

it takes to be successful in that job.
