Junior Achievement supports the efforts of a number of other non-profit organizations in our community. Although their missions are somewhat different, the common denominators are education and mentoring of children.


We provide these links to some other websites as a service both to our community and to these organizations.

The links are not intended to be endorsements of their specific programs but rather an information network to help you better understand the full range of efforts that are going on in our community.


Susan Byrnes Health Education Center

The Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center was created to promote healthy lifestyles through education. The Center houses five unique "teaching theaters" equipped with state-of-the-art exhibits that enable students to explore the wonders of life.

Boy Scouts

York-Adams Area Council is one of more than 300 local councils throughout the United States with the responsibility of promoting and supporting Scouting programs throughout York and Adams Counties in south-central Pennsylvania.

Girl Scouts

Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council is dedicated to serving all girls, ages 5-17, where in an accepting and nurturing environment, they build character and skills for success in the real world.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States.
