Summer Volunteer Opportunity
for High School Students
Junior Achievement of South Central PA (JASCPA), has volunteer opportunities for high school students over the summer! Get your required volunteers hours while helping an organization that works directly with your school.
JASCPA recycles kits and materials that are used in the elementary level programs. We
need your help with this recycling process. By helping, you help us to be GREEN and also
save $50,000 in unnecessary costs.
What will I be doing?
You will be removing items from used program kits, sorting, conducting quality
control, and counting to build new kits that will be used during the 2019-2020 school year. All while having fun, listening to music and working with people your own age.
Will I have to do this on my own?
No! There will be other volunteers as well as JA Staff members to help and guide
you throughout the process.
Is there any prep work?
No! You come the day in which you're scheduled and we
provide hands on training.
Do I need to dress up?
No! You may wear what you would normally wear to school. Please use the same
dress code guidelines.
Where do I report?
We have all kit recycling at our main office: 610 S. George St., York, PA 17401.
We provide on-site parking and will also provide other alternatives.
Will you provide proof that I have volunteered?
Yes! We will provide a signed JA volunteer form or will complete one that you provide.
Do I need to stay for the whole shift and can I sign up for more than one shift?
We prefer that you stay for entire shift in which you registered. All shifts are 3 hours.
If something comes up, contact us, and we'll try to work with you. You may sign up
for as many shifts as you want.
