Event registration begins at 10:00 AM, the March of Penguins Costume Parade begins at 10:30 AM, and #ThePlunge begins immediately following the March of Penguins. The $20,000 Cold Cash Challenge will take place immediately following #ThePlunge.
In order to participate in the event, you must raise at least $50. You may raise money through our online fundraising page (through sharing on social media and email) and you may also accept cash and check donations as well. All cash and checks need to be turned in on the day of Penguin Plunge. In order to make registration go as quickly as possible please bring a summary of all of your online and in-person donations to the event.
The more you raise, the more prizes you get!
- $50- Long Sleeve Event T-Shirt
- $100- All of above plus a lunch cooler and a towel
- $250- All of above plus a blanket
- $500- All of above plus a $50 gift certificate
- For every $100 you raise, your name will be entered into a drawing for fabulous door prizes.
- Also, for every $100 you raise, your name will be entered into the $20,000 Cold Cash Challenge* presented by Stryker Logistics. The Cold Cash Challenge gives 10 lucky penguin plunge participants the chance to win** a part of the $20,000 grand prize. You must be present to participate.

Costumes are encouraged! You may wear a bathing suit; however, no wet suits are allowed. We strongly recommend that you wear shoes into the water. You should leave your valuables and jewelry at home or with your guests at the event. A heated locker room and towels will be available in the Convention Center where you can dress down and get warmed up again.
Special Awards will be given for the top fundraising individual, top fundraising team, largest team, most creatively dressed, and more!
*The $20,000 Cold Cash Challenge presented by Stryker Logistics: 10 of our Penguin Plunge participants have the chance to win part of the $20,000 grand prize. All Penguin Plunge jumpers who raise at least $100 are eligible. For every $100 in pledges turned in prior to their jumping, they will receive (1) ticket into the raffle drawing. Non-jumpers that turn in a minimum $100 in pledges to the event will also receive (1) ticket for every $100 turned in. At the conclusion of the Plunge event, all raffle ticket holders will be asked to come to a designated area for the "Stryker Logistics $20,000 Cold Cash Challenge" event. 10 names will be drawn from the bin of raffle tickets to create the team of participants. Each participant will then choose one of the 25 bags during the "$20,000 Cold Cash Challenge presented by Stryker Logistics" event and return to the bag opening area. Out of the 10 bags if 5 matching Stryker logos are found inside, the participant team will share equally in the $20,000 cash prize. **All state and federal taxes will be the responsibility of the individual winner.
