About Our Office

At Junior Achievement, we give young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. We hope you will browse the website and be empowered to use your experiences, talents and skills to help Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana in a variety of ways.

Since its inception in 1964, Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana (JASWIN) has grown to serve over 27,000 students in 11 counties in Southwestern Indiana and Southeastern Illinois.

JASWIN is available to any public, private or parochial school in grades K-12 in the 11 county service areas. With proven curricula and thousands of classroom mentors, JASWIN is providing young people with the real-world skills they want and need, like how to manage money, how to prepare for a career, and how to open and run a business.

Our corporate and community volunteers serve as positive role models while delivering relevant, hands-on experiences that give students skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

JA programs empower these future leaders to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world – enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school. In the process, students are connecting classroom learning to the real world, which is allowing them to recognize the value of staying in school, increasing the likelihood they will graduate.
