This past week, on October 11, JA of Southeastern Pennsylvania was joined by 8 ALPFA Volunteers who also represented the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. With their time and enthusiasm, 2nd and 4th-grade students of Hon. Muñoz-Marin Elementary were impacted by JA’s lessons.
Javier Suarez, VP of Strategic Partnerships for the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, ALPFA member. And local Philadelphia entrepreneur, stated,“ For me personally it’s about having that interaction with young students to see what they want to learn, because, in the city of Philadelphia, the situation is pretty drastic. I see education as the way out and the way to the next level. So often we speak to students but we don’t have them speak to us. That’s why it’s important for me as a professional to go into the classroom.”
JA in a Day-- Southeastern Pennsylvania provided more students to be touched by the lessons of Junior Achievement as well as provide an opportunity for local organizations to come together to impact the future of their community. Thank you to all those who were involved in the success of Ja of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s JA in a Day event.
