About JA in Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho

Junior Achievement in the Spokane area was established in 1953 under the name JA of the Inland Northwest. In 2013, they joined JA of Washington, as JA Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho (JA EWNI.) Currently, nearly 8,000 students are served annually by JA EWNI, offering traditional in-school programs in grades K-12. In 2016, the JA Finance Park® mobile unit was added, providing one of JA's highest impact programs to 2,700 Spokane area middle-school students annually.

Volunteering for JA Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho

Each year, JA EWNI relies upon nearly 500 volunteers to bring its programs to local area school students. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students provides active learning and brings theory to life. 
 
Are you qualified to volunteer in a classroom or at JA Finance Park? Yes! JA volunteers come from all walks of life, including valued employees, retirees, parents, and college students. All you need is a desire to be an inspirational role model, along with the ability to communicate, motivate, and create enthusiasm. Volunteers are also required to sign a Volunteer Conduct Standards form. Training in person and/or online is provided.

The Junior Achievement Bowling classic is a fun event and one of JA's biggest fundraisers!
